Alyssa & Michael’s Rustic Fall Wedding at Sites Farm | Athens, Maine

On September 20, 2025, Alyssa Trumbull and Michael Reidy celebrated their wedding day surrounded by family, friends, and the rolling countryside of Sites Farm in Athens, Maine. With the first signs of autumn color beginning to emerge, the rustic barns, open fields, and warm wood tones of the venue set the stage for a joyful celebration filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and plenty of dancing.

Getting Ready at Sites Farm

The early afternoon began with Alyssa and her bridesmaids in the bridal suite and attached getting-ready apartment, where soft rosewood and dusty pink details tied into the day’s palette. The room was filled with fun and laughter as the bridal party shared stories and excitement for the celebration ahead. Alyssa’s maid of honor and her mother were there for the special moments of helping her step into her dress, fasten her jewelry, and slip on her shoes.

Meanwhile, Michael and his groomsmen gathered in the Groomsmen Cabin, tucked behind the main reception space. The best man and groomsmen set the tone for the day with relaxed energy and plenty of good humor as they prepared for the evening to come.

A First Look in the Countryside

Just before the ceremony, Alyssa and Michael shared a first look along the rolling fields of Sites Farm. Tucked beneath the branches of a sweeping willow tree, the sun filtered softly through the leaves, wrapping the moment in golden light.

The anticipation was written all over Michael’s face as he waited for Alyssa’s tap on his shoulder. When he turned to see her in her gown, emotion quickly took over with tears, smiles, and a quiet embrace that spoke volumes. The willow became a canopy for this heartfelt exchange, a natural frame for one of the most intimate moments of the day.

A Ceremony Among Friends & Family

By late afternoon, guests had gathered at the ceremony space as the golden light of autumn stretched across the farm. The couple exchanged vows in front of their bridal party and more than a hundred of their closest family and friends. With the countryside stretching out behind them, it was the perfect Maine setting for a fall wedding.

Celebrating at the Reception Barn

As the sun dipped lower, cocktail hour began with friends and family mingling before heading inside the reception barn for the evening’s celebration. The night opened with a grand entrance followed by the couple’s first dance to “Joy of My Life” by Chris Stapleton.

Heartfelt speeches from the best man and maid of honor set the tone, and then guests enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Dirigo Farms Catering.

Just as the meal ended, Alyssa and Michael slipped away for golden hour portraits down by the pond. The fields glowed with warm dusk light, casting a soft golden haze over the water and turning the moment into something timeless. Hand in hand, they walked through the blueberry bushes, shared quiet laughter, and sat along the edge of the dock as the sky deepened with color. It was the kind of light every couple hopes for, romantic, flattering, and fleeting, and it perfectly framed their joy.

When they returned, the newlyweds cut their cake before moving into the evening’s dances. The bride shared special moments with both her mother and father, and the groom danced with his mother, each one a highlight of the night. As the last light faded outside, the dance floor opened and the energy took over. Everyone joined in, filling the barn with music, laughter, and celebration as the night went on.
