Des grew up in New England and went to photography school back when they still made you shoot film and develop it yourself. So yes, she can nail a frame without checking the back of the camera, and yes, she will absolutely tell you about the darkroom.
She's been part of the VMG crew since 2021, shooting photo, video, or second camera next to Matt depending on the day. Whatever the job title, she's the one who says "wait, try this" and suddenly you've got the photo you'll frame. Sessions with her feel less like a photo shoot and more like hanging out with a friend who happens to be holding a camera.
Nobody at VMG works alone. Matt has run the studio since 2015 and is behind a camera most weekends himself, but on a busy Saturday the crew splits up and the best person for the day takes the wedding. Every photo still lands on Matt's desk for editing, so no matter who's behind the camera, the gallery comes out looking like VMG.
